Watching As the World Turns

February 19, 2011

Week after week as I bring the latest in top news stories to the listeners on Our View, I am reminded that the most important story is the one that takes place over a very long period of time. Each weeks stories are really individual and small pieces of the puzzle, that over time, when fit together give us the bigger, truer picture.
Decades ago I sat at a picnic table discussing world events with my father, now deceased. I was about to leave our country to live in France, and at the time, had no plans of returning to the US to live. My father warned me of global tensions, political, social, philosophical, that continued to pose real threats to people in our country. He did his best to impress his opinions upon me, namely that we should always be fearful of the intentions of Russia and communism. I remember at the time thinking he was wrong to hold onto old worries, that the global society was changing, had changed, and we were really seeing the beginning of a new age. This conversation took place in 1979.
As I pull my focus back to the present, realizing that our 33 year old conversation was but a small piece of the overall bigger picture, I step into a much different perspective.
As I and others watch our world turn, we must remember to believe that each day matters, what we do, what we say, how we act, how we treat one another, all of these small acts come together to create the bigger picture.
In these past weeks, we have seen many, many scenarios take place around our world. Scenarios that reflect the energy of change. While each moment counts, I believe it is valuable for us to raise our view to a much higher perspective, seeing that each of these moments will come together and carry us, once again, into a new age.

08/31 - Catherine Bradford, HOST
Radio Worth Waiting For!

Hello everyone! Well, as much as I had wanted to begin broadcasting The Catherine Bradford Show as soon as July 16th on LA Talk Radio, it appears that we are all going to have to wait for that DEBUT SHOW. I am hoping to have made it to the other side of these events within a short period of time, but until then, I am asking for your patience.  In the meantime, while taking this short and temporary hiatus from being on air live, I want to invite you to keep c...
